Despite the pandemic and the lack of promotions; The film managed to pull the audience to theaters. So, without any further late let's dive into the review.

Story -

He gets arrested for the crime he may or may not committed.Meenakshi Chowdhary a psychology student saves him and gets out of jail. As soon as Gandhi comes out,the things went upside down. What are those things?Who is gandhi and what’s his connection with the stolen money? forms the rest of the story.

Thumbs ups -

Ravi teja excelled in his role. After watching the movie we can say, it's tailor made role for him.He showed variations in his character with ease.

Coming to female leads dimple hayathi exploaded her glamour in screen, mass audience will love her screen presence and dance moments. Anasuya bharadwaj doing good roles in recent times and she did it in khiladi too. Meenakshi chaudary performed well in her role. Murali sharma, Rao ramesh, sachin kedrekar and other actors also did justice for their roles.

Comedy scenes between vennala kishore and ravi teja went really well. Devi sri prasad music and songs are added advantage for the movie.

Interval bang and chase sequences are major highlights of the film. Action king arjun did a good job in a cop role.

Thumbs down -

The first half of the movie goes on basic comedy and romance, these keeps the audience engaged. But after a rock solid interval bang, One would think the Flash back will be interesting but rather it went dull not impressing audience.

It has too many twists which are unnecessary. The emotions in the second half went on missing. And there are so many illogical scenes and loose ends.

Technical aspects -

Production values and cinematography are pretty good. Action scenes are okay. DSP’s music and bgm is good.

Director Ramesh Varma has done a half cook job with the film. He narrated the movie well in the first half but messed up in the second half of the movie. There is absolutely no seriousness and the climax part is not really well.

Verdict -

All in all, Khiladi is a half-cooked crime drama that only works in the first half. Good comedy, songs ,glamour and interval twist are basic assets. Not a worth watching movie but it gives high for fans and mass audience.

MY RATING - 2.5/5
